Our staff includes consultants with many years of wits in the field of DeafBlindness. They divide their focus to write the needs of the family, staff serving infants and preschool-aged students, and staff serving students 6-22 years of age.  Texas DeafBlind Project Grant Goals for 2013-2018: Students who are deafblind will have improved wonk and social outcomes through provision of upper quality technical assistance. Examples of technical assistance provided include face-to-face consultations and trainings, web based trainings, on-line resources, and the TX SenseAbilities newsletter. Families from diverse cultures will have information, leadership skills and support to successfully well-wisher on behalf of children and young adults who are DeafBlind. Family engagement is provided as an integral part of our services, including individual consultations, family leadership trainings, and cooperative relationships with family organizations. Teams will use evidence-based practices to modernize post-school outcomes for students who are DeafBlind. Evidence based practices are used to provide support during school consultations, workshops specific to Transition, and trainings for polity service providers. Texas will promote evidence-based policies and practices, and increased availability of qualified DeafBlind specific personnel. Qualified DeafBlind specific personnel include Home andPolityInterveners, Educational Interveners, and Teachers of Students with DeafBlindness.
