Classes vary in length from 4 days to 5 weeks. The Summer Programs schedule changes each year. The deadline for Summer Program applications is February 14 and should be submitted by the local TVI as early as possible. Please refer to the current summer programs descriptions (published each January) for details or contact the Summer Programs Administration Team at  or Phoebe Williams at 512-206-9241. Elementary Summer Enrichment (ages 6-12): Students who are on or tropical to grade level. Occurs the 4th and 5th week of Summer Programs. Secondary Enrichment (ages 12-22): Students who are enrolled in middle or upper school during the wonk year 2017-2018. For students who are on or up to three years unelevated grade level, interact well socially with their grade-level peers, and function with greater independence in self-sustaining living skills. Occurs the 1st through the 3rd week of Summer Programs. Practical Experiences in Expanded Core (PEEC) (ages 6-22): Students who currently receive some or all instruction in an volitional wonk setting, may goody from supports with communication, social, and self-sustaining living skills, can participate safely in small group activities with moderate support and are able to be yonder from home for 1 to 2 weeks. Occurs the 1st through the 3rd week of Summer Programs. Learning Independence and Vocational Skills for Students with DeafBlindness  (ages 16-22):  Students who are DeafBlind and have grade level or functional wonk skills but who may need individualized programming or supports.  Program provides training in customized employment, self-sustaining living and self sponsorship skills as well as experiences in the community.  Occurs the 4th and 5th week of Summer Programs.  For increasingly information well-nigh this program, contact:  Sara Merritt, Principal of Short-Term Programs 512- 206-9176 , or Kim Conlin, DB Coordinator 512-206-9351 . For information well-nigh the using process, contact: Phoebe Williams 512-206-9241, Nichelle White 512-206-9332 or . Summer Work Experience in Austin Texas (SWEAT) (ages 17-22): Work program for students who are on or tropical to grade level. Occurs the 1st through the 5th week of Summer Programs. Working And Living InPolity(WALIC) (ages 16-22): Work program for students functioning well-nigh 3 or increasingly years unelevated grade level. Occurs the 2nd through the 5th week of Summer Programs.  Summer 2019 Application  (Open early January, 2019 - February 14, 2019) The using period is early January – February 14, 2018. The Summer Program using site closes on February 14. Applications should be completed by the student’s Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI). Summer programs do not require an ARD or district referral. Parents are responsible for transportation to summer programs. Parents are responsible for personal spending money for their child, as described on the program pages. There are no financing to the school district.
